Mary was trained and certified by Helen Garabedian, founder of Itsy Bitsy Yoga in the acclaimed Itsy Bitsy Yoga Method – a child-centered program utilizing the creative use of poses, songs and stories to explore yoga in a nurturing community environment. Mary is also trained in the YogaFit Method that emphasizes safe yoga practice for all ages and skill levels. In addition to Mary’s yoga experience she is a licensed Occupational Therapist employed by Infant & Toddler Connection of Fairfax County (Early Intervention). Mary’s anatomy and physiology expertise as an occupational therapist allows her to develop and share a variety of class formats for individual of all abilities and experience. Mary’s background with health and wellness also includes certification as an infant massage instructor.
